Hey there! How you doin’?
Well, I decided, after all this time of learning and studying and reading, to finally implement the GeodooBlog app for Android (first) and then maybe for iOS (I am not sure if I have to pay Apple or sth to upload to App Store… maybe! I will check it out when time comes!). Although I have already started to writing the code and I already have a (lame) version that fetches the 10 latest articles and displays them in the mobile app for Android, I revisited again the code and the dev process and guess what! I do not remember anything! So, I made up my mind that this time I will not leave the app for more than a few days and wonder around 10 different technologies anymore, but I will go all the way till it’s finished and up and running smoothly!
Reasoning
The reasons for logging every detail of my project on my blog, are the following:
It is nice to be able to track down where I am and what I am trying to build and document as best I can the code and the npm modules I use etc.
If someone is in the same position as me he will probably find useful some of the stuff I am gonna write down here. Or vice versa he can help me!
It is more easy to have a general view of the design and development when you write down everything first or when you come back again reading your whole experience like a documentary film!
Conclusion
I hate blog post series (because I never finish them… grr) but this one I think will be a milestone for me, so I am gonna give my all to this. I will call it the:
GeodooBlog App Development Series with React Native
Fancy title, huh?
